Overview
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is a computer-based English proficiency test for study abroad and immigration. It’s accepted by many universities, particularly in the UK, and is known for fast results (within 5 business days). PTE is offered in over 400 test centers across 117 countries.
Test Structure
The PTE Academic test consists of three main sections, completed in about 2 hours:
- Speaking & Writing: 54-67 minutes, tasks include personal introduction, essay writing, and summarizing spoken text.
- Reading: 29-30 minutes, tasks like multiple-choice, re-order paragraphs, and fill-in-the-blanks.
